Our Stargazing Tents

Our beautiful selection of stargazing tents and air domes are positioned perfectly to take in the stunning views of the Brecon Beacons from the comfort of your tent. The spacious yet cosy tents allow you to experience luxury camping with proper beds and mattresses, plenty of soft furnishings and carpet floor to make you feel at home. Just outside, each tent also has its own decking area with picnic table and chairs, perfect for enjoying a meal under the stars.  

Our range tents are spacious and warm when zipped up, a selection of blankets are provided for a chillier evening or enjoying the glow of the fire with a lovely glass of wine. 

AberGlamping tents are situated in a Dark Sky reserve which means, on a clear night, you are able to view the most spectacular sky when stargazing!

When you have enjoyed toasting your marshmallows over the open fire you can snuggle down comfortably wrapped in blankets in front of the woodburner and enjoy natures silence in the Welsh countryside.

Sleeping

Each of our tents have proper mattresses and furnishings making them feel more homely and less like 'camping'.

Our tents are made from thick, protective canvas keeping the warmth in without shutting the sounds of nature out.

Cusan (Kiss): Is perfect for couples it sleeps two containing a double bed and a seating area. It also has futons that can be converted into 2 additional beds. 

Cwtch (Cuddle): This tent can sleep up to 4 it contains two single beds and a double futon that can be set up prior to your arrival. 

Please note that bedding is not provided, you are welcome to bring your own (including a fitted sheet) but can be added at the checkout so you can arrive to a tent ready to sleep. 

Worried about morning sunshine in our stargazing tents? You can pop the curtains closed before you drop off to prevent an early morning sunshine wake up call. 

Cooking and Relaxing

Each tent has its own cooking area which consists of a 'cwt cegin bach' (little kitchen hut) which accommodates your gas cooking stove, cool box for storing your chilled items and your cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware and that very important cork screw. All kitchen items are disinfected after each visit. 

The outdoor area also contains a picnic table and chairs where you can relax as evening settles in next to a cracking log fire whilst gazing up at the stars!

Just outside your tent you will find your firepit and tripod, perfect for campfire cooking or roasting your marshmallows.

The essentials
What to do here

We have a range of things for you to do right here on the farm. You can choose one of our farm experiences or take a sheep for a walk.

You could also bring your horse and explore the local area on horseback. We also have a selection of additional optional extras you can choose from to make your stay even more amazing. 

Each tent also has access to a private toilet. In keeping with our green eco ethos these are compost toilets made by a local craftsman.

Each kitchen station has access to a running drinking water supply. 

You will also have access to the pod cawod (shower pod) during your stay. This is a shared facility at the bottom of the site. 

The StargazingTents

Cusan

Our 'Cusan' tent is a perfect for friends, couples and families. It is a stunning Lotus Belle tent set at the furthest side of the glamping field giving more privacy and tranquility perfect to enjoy the views across the Brecon Beacons to Pen-y-Fan and Corn Du. With its clear ceiling panels you sleep under the starry sky from the comfort of your bed!

Cusan has a comfortable double bed, indoor seating area (which coverts into two single beds) and a box of blankets to snuggle into in front of the wood burning stove.

Cwtch

Cwtch is perfect for friends, couples or families. This stunning stargazing belle tent has two comfortable single beds. There is also a cosy seating area that can be converted into an additional doub. This tent has clear ceiling panels so you can enjoy the beautiful dark sky reserve from the comfort of your bed.

After spending the evening toasting marshmallows under the stars Cwtch is the perfect tent to snuggle down and enjoy the sounds of nature near the babbling brook.

Our 'Back to Nature' Bell Tents

Sleeping

Each of our 'Back to Nature' Bell Tents have proper mattresses and like our stargazing tents are made from thick, protective canvas keeping the warmth in without shutting the sounds of nature out.

We have two 4m tents available:

Celyn: Two single mattresses.

Derwen:  A double mattress. 

Please note that bedding is not provided, you are welcome to bring your own (including a fitted sheet). If you are bringing sleeping bags rather than duvets please note you will still need to bring a fitted sheet to protect the mattress during your stay.

Cooking and Relaxing

Each tent has its own singe gas stove to use for cooking and a cool box to keep food chilled. You will need to bring all your cooking equipment and food with you.  

The outdoor area also contains a firepit and chairs to enjoy the evening. Perfect for a campfire and marshmallow toasting. 

What to do here
The essentials

Our 'Back to Nature' Bell Tents are available during our favourite time of the year LAMBING! Why not join us bottle feeding the lambs, checking the chicks or join us for one of our fantastic hands on lambing experiences!

In keeping with our green eco ethos you will have access to a shared compost toilet made by a local craftsman.

There is also running water available on site. 

You will also have access to the pod cawod (shower pod) during your stay. This is a shared facility at the bottom of the site.

Derwen

  • A power pack.

  • Access to a compost toilet.

  • Access to a hot shower.

  • A fire pit and outdoor seating.

  • Access to running water.

Other accommodation on the farm

Alongside the glamping options we also have two self catering holiday cottages on the farm. These can be booked through abercottages.com

Bryniau Pell

Bryniau Pell is based on the farm yard and is a beautiful airy open plan cottage with home grown oak flooring throughout. The cottage has a double room, a twin room and a nursery with two cots. Relax by the cosy wood burning fire looking out across to the Brecon Beacons. This cottage has its own secure garden and patio area with a children's playground and private parking. It also has its own electric point for charging cars. 

Hill Cottage

Hill cottage is secluded at the top of the farm track. Formerly known as Blaenrhyddnant, Hill Cottage is a Welsh longhouse dating from 17th century with loads of traditional character, country chic and mod. cons. Beams, flagstones, wood burner, roses around the door, views across to Pen-y-Fan, surrounded by nature and animals.

Hill cottage has a double room, twin room and a single room (that can be made into a twin if needed). It has a secure outdoor space and views across the Brecon Beacons.
